ok, before i answer ur question, i will tell the story how i gave that advice to my friend.
I have a friend and she always blame everything to herself, when she did wrong, she will blame herself and always regretting why she can't do it... one day, she was very very upset because her team lose in final session and she thought it was because of her. (actually all ppl on the team didn't put blame on her)
she came to me and tell all the story..then i gave her an advice to be not regretting the past and see the positive things.
my advice was....
i took a piece of white paper and i took a big felt black marker, and then i drew a point the paper with marker, and i asked her, ';what do u see in this paper?';
she answered ';a black point';... and maybe u will think the same as well, right?
lots of ppl always think directly based on what they see at the first time... they didn't think first....
i mean, if the answer is black point the meaning is you never think clearly and always see the minus thing on what u have done.
if the answer is white color or white paper.. the meaning is u are verry good thinker, u think in general and u always see ur positive on what u have done....
so, i told her to think what's positive things that she has done for the team. and after i gave her an advice she start to never blame on herself again...Whats the best advice you have ever given?
