The best advice to follow for growing healthy long hair ?

My hair is at my shoulders, and i would very much like to have long hair. Im willing to wait for it to grow but i need to know the best and healthiest ways for it to do so? and im not getting extentions lol

THANKS IN ADVANCE =)The best advice to follow for growing healthy long hair ?
just make sure u get a regular trim when u start getting split ends cause other wise if u don't and just let it grow it will be really unhealthy with all the split ends and u will have to cut it to get it healthy againThe best advice to follow for growing healthy long hair ?
just do lots of treatments to help keep the ends healthy!

Great products to use:

Repair ends - schwarzkopf professional this helps to keep the ends of your hair as healthy as the rest by replacing lost moisture and sealing the cuticle it also puts a protective layer to help prevent split ends..

Also a good professional shampoo and conditioner to keep hair healthy and shiny...eg: Schwarzkopf Professional Seah Hair spa range...

And its good to get a small trim occasionally as this promotes hair growth...
First of all, everyone is capable of growing long beautiful hair its about learning the techniques for managing your hair.

My hair was about a few inches past shoulder length about over a year %26amp; a few months ago and now its bra strap length! True statement. =)

It can be done!!

-I washed my hair once a week and deep conditioned.

-Stay away from scissor happy stylist because your hair only grows .5 inches a month so don't let them trim away your progress! Only trim when needed! (Trim like once every 3 or 4 months)

-Avoid using a heat appliances (its kinda hard at first but it gets easier) more than once week. I airdry my hair it seems to love it!

-Sleep with a silk or satin scarf or bonnet at night. Cotton pilliows can dry out the hair and cause it to break.

-Keep your ends moisturized (most people think their hair doesn't grow b/c the ends are breaking faster than the hair is retaining length)

Another thing, I learned is...a product may work for one person and not so well for you! So as they say to each its own...I suggest sampling products to see if your hair will like first b/c no one knows your hair better than you!

Good luck!!! =)
Sorry to burts your bubble but some people just can't grow long hair. I'm not saying your one of them but just a heads up if you notice its not growing. Eat alot of nuts and healthy fats an vitamins. Eat plenty of lean protein and avoid excess salt and saturated and trans fat. When you wash your hair, give your scalp a little massage/
Unfortunately, there is no miracle growth. However, I suggest taking your regular daily vitamins, plus extra ones (like vitamin E) since they give an extra boost! Plus try massaging your scalp with tea tree oil, since that awakens your roots! And also, when you wash your hair, cut open a vitamin E and pour the liquid into the shampoo for direct nutrition! (flaxseed vitamins are very good too)
There are vitamins you can take with vitamin E in them, that will help it grow longer. Also when you take a shower, rinse your conditioner out with cold water. It's very healthy. Every other month you should get your hair trimmed, so the dead ends go away. I hope this helped.

(:
get your hair TRIMMED every 4-5 months. dont use a lot of product in your hair and DO NOT straighten or blow dry it. when you brush your hair use a wide mouth comb and DO NOT TUG on your hair. when wearing ponytails (which try and stay away from) make sure they are not really tight, keep them a little loose. once a month use VO-5 hot oil treatment. that works the best for me.
Cutting split ends and also don't wash your hair every day you need natural oils in your hair to keep it moisturized.

wash it about every other day.

Don't brush your hair too much.

Use deep conditioners once a week or so.

Also Vitamins are really good to help with hair growth.
flip your hair a little bit each day, use shampoo and conditioner, brush your hair from root to end, massage your scalp, trim your hair every 8 weeks so you don't get split ends :)

hope i helped.

my hair is about a foot and a half long.
only wash your hair once a week.....and when you do use John Freda root awakening shampoo and conditioner....also brush your hair with a paddle brush several times a day. avoid straighening or coloring your hair for a while!
i spray a mix of chamomile, aloe, and vitamin e, flaxseed oil, and grapeseed oil into my hair...aloe helps hair growth, the rest helps to keep hair soft...also drinking vitamin D and calcium helps a LOT
BUY BIOTIN ITS A VITAMIN B MAKES YOUR HAIR AND NAILS BEAUTIFUL.
Sounds crazy, but prenatals.

They aren't gonna hurt you any, and they help you hair and nails grow.
get extentions
Use lots of organic products
use shampoo.
put poop AND PEE in your hairr, it worked forr me :)
just make sure you trim off slip ends now and then :D
don't eat it.
