What is the best advice you have ever heard?

What is the best advice someone has ever told you, or what is the best advice you would give. Relating to life as a wholeWhat is the best advice you have ever heard?
don't get marriedWhat is the best advice you have ever heard?
';Do what makes you happy.'; No matter what anyone says, what's right or wrong.
to always look for the good in someone...if you look hard enough you usually find it.
advice heard:

advice given:

Dont worry about your past because i have your back. Just focus on your future.
Treat all people as angels because you never know when any one can help you.You are rewarded more when you give than when you take.
Don't judge but give everyone a chance.
';When you come to a fork in the road, take it.'; - Yogi Berra.
When there is too much stress or things that are troublesome, find which things or people cause it and remove yourself from it,or change your exposure if possible.There is a lot of thing we can eliminate, avoid, and control that cause negativity, learn what those things are and act upon them.

Another, never divulge too much information.
From my mom, she told me to never marry a man that has been married more than twice, never marry a man that has children and has never been married, and never marry a man that is over 30 and still lives at home with his mother.....she was being kind of tongue and cheek when she said it but I have always found it to be pretty true.
';screw the rest and do your own thing. if that guy doesn't want you, you're too good for him to be upset anyway. let him go and let him have the ones who can't compare to you. and live your life without regrets because you only live once. be original, be a leader, be different, because who wants to live the same.';
Double-check (no, triple-check) who you send that text message to. One wrong press of a button could be fatal (or just really freaking embarrassing).

Oh, and here's a quote my English teacher told us (we have a quote every day):

';Sometimes we're the windshield, and sometimes we're the bug.';
';If you're going to do something in life, might as well make it count.';
never eat the non-frosted rice krispies B)
I`ve heard a lot of really good advice over the years, but the only ones I can remember right now are:

';Find a job you love, and you never have to work a day in your life.';

';Anything worth doing, is worth doing well.';

';The greatest risk is to risk nothing. Life and love wait for no one.';
The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.

Top 5';

1- When you want a girl to like you, do the opposite of what your intuition says: You should talk to other people around her more than her, you should treat others a little better than her, and you should work at winning the group over instead of her. And then when you finally do acknowledge her, don't kiss her a*ss and compliment her- play it cool until she shows interest in YOU FIRST. Just talk with her, make fun of her, joke around with her, be funny, be chill, and watch her squirm in trying to get your approval.

2- Wear protection when having sex.

3- The kind of girls you want like preppy guys who do sports, instead of normal guys or w*gger guys. Also, don't be ashamed of being white, instead be better at being white than everyone else. But just make sure you're the cool type of white, not the nerdy type. (another thing that works... at least until i go out of school hahaha)

4- ';You would be a really great wrestler if you tried out';. Made it to states a couple times. It looks really good for my rep, and helps me with friends, girls, college, everything.

5- Try your best at everything that you do. You don't have to look like you're trying, or say you are, but you should always secretly be trying your hardest. Be it sports, or school, or practice, or work, or getting girls, or your clothes and style, or looks, or even a simple conversation, the people that PUT EFFORT INTO LIFE are the people that are going to ultimately come out on top!
