Im trying to change the way people think about me, all through high school everyone has thought of me as a shy kid, but i just am in school sometimes...i want to change and have people think of me as outgoing...and its my last year of school and i just want to live it up...advice? Best advice for someone going into their senior year of high school?
i was exactly the same way! reading this is like a flashback for me. 1st off i have to say that it is great to go out and have fun your senior year but make sure you keep on top of your grades and school work as well. ( i almost made a big mistake my senior year by not doing all my work).
my advice is to join some clubs and maybe try out for a sport you wouldn't mind being a part of. drama club is really good to get you out of your shell. get out a little more. go where you know your fellow class mates hang out. shyness is hard to over come but one day you just have to put all that nervous shyness behind you and go up to those people you don't usually talk to and strike up a conversation. senior year turned out to be fantastic because i did all this. i hope this helps and god luck :o)Best advice for someone going into their senior year of high school?
Be more social, and let go of the barriers that are holding you back. Fear is not a good thing for someone who is about to get out of high school soon. Go to more parties. Try things you wouldn't normally try. Be careful though, and study hard, because you're ALMOST FREE!!!!!! Thank God too, because I couldn't stand high school. I just took my diploma and ran for the hills (lol)

What is the best advice you've been given to keep your body in shape?
that would be the Nike motto- ';just Do It';. Just get out of bed, off your butt, and exercise every single day for 30 minutes or more. Think of food as fuel- would you knowingly put bad fuel in your car and expect it to run right? No and you should try to put only good healthy whole food in your body to fuel it.
And when one day- you fail to exercise or you fail to eat right- don't be hard on yourself- just do it- get right back to where you belong and pick up where you left off.
Just do it.What is the best advice you've been given to keep your body in shape?
Sometimes staying in shape can be difficult, especially as we age. Here are some ways to continue to stay in shape.
Eating healthy.
While working out is a big part of staying in shape, so is eating healthy. If you are eating many foods full of saturated fats, such as cakes and pies, it is going to be harder to maintain your shape. One of the best things to keep your body in shape, and take care of your body, is to start eating healthy. By making the right food choices you will definitely see the difference in the way you look. If you are already in good shape and add healthy eating to it you will be much better off.
Working out.
If you are in good shape and want to maintain it, you must workout. Working out can become a habit after a short amount of time. Try staying with a routine for a few weeks and you will start to see that it has come a part of your schedule. One of the hardest parts is the first few weeks because your body and your routine is not used to the exercise. If you want to see more results you might want to intensify your workout.
Drinking water.
Giving up sodas and other carbonated drinks can also keep you in good shape. Many people that drink a few beverages a day do not even notice the amount of calories in it. Some people drink enough for a couple of meals a day, and then eat meals as well too. If you currently drink carbonated beverages, you will be able to see results sooner by switching to water. It will eliminate many of your wasted calories and can be used on healthy foods.
Hope that helps. What is the best advice you've been given to keep your body in shape?
Eating smart. To keep your body in good shape and healthy, you have to know when/what to eat. Dieting is never a good decision, eating well should just be part of your life style. No need to starve yourself (as that actually slows your metabolism, thus actually burning less calories). Consume smaller meals, more frequently throughout the day. Don't avoid anything specifically.. carbs, fat.. just do everything in moderation to an extent.
Exercise in any form a few times a week and you should stay in great shape.
-One extra point about eating. If you're a heavy soda drinker, you might want to reconsider. Taking out soda (diet or regular) will do wonders.
Walk 30 mins at least three times a week.
eat right, work out, burn calories to the max

What is your best advice for a up and coming freshmen in high school?
Ahh, my favorite question. Well, I messed up my freshman year and boy, I wish I have done so many things. Ok,ok to get to the point..
First, if your grades arn't that to savvy, join as many clubs as possible. Colleges see that clubs are extra curricular activities and it tells them that you aren't sitting home playing games all day after school. Other than clubs, go volunteer and places or work. Volunteering is great for your apps for college.
If you can and have the passion to study hard, get into all honors courses. It can be very very time consuming, but it is possible if you really really study hard.
Sports, do sports that you are fond of. If you don't like touching people, then I'd advise you to not take wrestling. :P
Hang out with the right crowd (not the sluts, extreme geeks, and the non conformist emo kids) Just go up to some normal kids and be like ';sup';What is your best advice for a up and coming freshmen in high school?
Remember that high school is much more serious than you will ever experience compare to elementary/middle school. All your effort in high school will determine which college you will go to. In addition, try a extra curriculum like sports: basketball, tennis, badminton, etc. But most importantly, don't just play video games or watch TV wasting your summer, at least read as many book as you can! Freshman year might take a while for you to get used to it but if you have a lot of friends, you will be fine.
Good Luck! What is your best advice for a up and coming freshmen in high school?
Don't stress! Today was my first day as a HS freshman, and it wasn't that bad. Don't draw to much attention to yourself, upper classmen might not like that. Be yourself, relax, and don't be afraid to ask any questions.
Be yourself. Don't try to hard to fit in. Find other people with the same interests that you do. Join some clubs.
Good Luck!
Act like yourself. The reason that people tend to hate freshmen is because they think they're all that and get cocky, or otherwise can't handle being mature.

What's the best advice you were given when preparing for your second baby's arrival?
Just make sure you have plans already in place for where your first one will be while you are delivering and at the hospital. It helps ease the stress a little. Then, after you deliver, make it a big deal for the older child. Give them a sense of pride, and instead of only gushing about the new baby, also gush about how awesome of a big brother/sister that the older one will be. Also, don't forget that while fragile, yes, babies are also not breakable...let your older one feel really responsible, and helpful..while pointing out boundaries too. You will find your family balance really early on. Just make them as big a part of the whole thing as possible. What's the best advice you were given when preparing for your second baby's arrival?
The best advice I should have been given was to have no expectations. Just because you've done this once, doesn't mean it'll be the same, or even similar. Yet at the same time, people told me to expect the second child to be completely different from the first, so I was surprised when I kept seeing similarities. Your child could be the same or could be different, or even both, which is why you should enter this new stage with the same sense of wonder and excitement as you did the first. What's the best advice you were given when preparing for your second baby's arrival?
Dont shush your older child just so the baby can sleep... the baby has been listening to your other child for nine months and wont even hardly notice it...
plus, shushing your other child may make them jealous or they may resent you or the new baby!!
I didnt do it and my baby slept just fine!! I also didnt have to deal with sibling jealousy at al!! Now that they are older, though, they wake each other up just so they can play!!
To try to get stuff done around the house when either child is sleeping, feed them at the same time, bathe at same time, read, and so on.

How do I make my face skinnier? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
I have round face. I want to wear make up for my graduation. Please help. Thank youHow do I make my face skinnier? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
you will need foundation and loose powder in 2 shades...
one of your regular skin color..
and one slightly darker.
apply your regular foundation all over your face.
apply the darker foundation on the edges of your face [kind of like a silouhette]
apply regular powder only on places like the bridge of your nose.. middle of your forehead.. etc...
apply the darker on the edges. How do I make my face skinnier? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
you could use a darker foundation from your jawline and under to create a ';shadow'; but then you have to apply a foundation from the neck down so your skin matches.i think that overdoing make up won't help cause i think it will show in the picture.
you should do your hair so that it's covering part of the side of your face. something like what you have for your profile picture/whatever that icon looking thing is called.hahaa
To give yourself more prominent cheekbones you need blush in a lighter shade and a darker shade. Apply the lighter shade right on your cheekbones and the darker shade right under. It takes practice you have to blend really well. I would suggest getting one blush compact that comes with two shades. Usually those have similar shades, which would be perfect for blending together. Hope I helped!!!
You can try to search up the Internet on how to get the illusion of a smaller face. OR, if you have the time, you can get side bangs. They work wonders and they make your face narrower (always wonder why ';emos'; or ';scenesters'; have narrow, slender faces? Now you know why).
Bronzers help with contouring around your cheek bones. They'll make the face appear slimmer. I'm sure there are tons of sites that will show demonstrations on it...OR go to a makeup counter and ask one of the girls to show you how. That'd be your safest bet.
The fact that your face is round doesnt mean its a bad thing but there are ways to wear make up and make your face look skinnier. You can also change your hairstyle.

What's the best advice you've ever receieved?
I was thinking...And I can't think of any great advice I've ever been given! Geesh. Maybe you can give me some, eh? ;)What's the best advice you've ever receieved?

Know ThyselfWhat's the best advice you've ever receieved?
That is a great question.
I think the best advice comes from teachers who get to know you and realize that you are ready for something. They give it privately... usually a spiritual practice of some kind.
It goes on... I can assure you that it goes on and most are not aware of it. I guess you could say... remnants of the old teacher-disciple tradition. That's where my best advice came from.
This old system of teaching is described in the Gospel Enigma book.. a free resource if you want to know more. It describes the kind of things that are taught privately.

Word from your inner self before every other advice.
you're beautiful the way you are :)
I'm in the same situation as you there. Luckily my own mind mostly works well enough for my purposes.
Several years ago, I had a wonderful neighbor who was very wise...she gave me lots of great council (but only when I asked...she never ';pushed';). I think the best piece of advice she ever gave me was to stop blaming my parents for the way they raised me and begin taking responsibility for my own life. It took a little while to sink in, and even longer to begin implementing, but following that suggestion has made me a better person.

I'll give you one...its not exactly nice, not the sort of boring advice u get evryday or the sort ur mother would like to hear, its rather vulgar...but hardcore....hardcore.
Keep on pushing yourself. Pushing yourself to the limit. Pushing off complacency. Pushing through hurdles, smashing through walls. Pushing back at all those in your life who said you’d fail. Cuz when push comes to shove, you gotta listen to your own voice... And if anyone tells you different, you tell him to shove it up his a**.
LISTEN, hear what one has to say, you dont have to agree, be patient, try to put yourself in other persons shoes, never never think you are better than anyone else..
A friend told me to do what I think is best at the time because it will probably be the wrong thing later any way.

It's not he with the most toys when he dies who wins, it's he with the most people crying at his funeral.
Truer words were never spoken!
Always believe in your self no matter how its going.
Well the best advice that i know is always think and act in right and truthful way.
Our mind and heart are easily tempted by wrong things but with a little will power they can be controlled and always listen to you.
So develop good habits and think good thoughts.
When I was going to drop out of the University in my third year of college my stepfather who was dying of a terminal illness told me not to give up he said that no matter what you start in life a project an education a work of Art you always finish it and do not do to many things at the same time limit doin so many things and focus on one thing at a time %26amp; you will get ahead in life the man was so sick when he told me this and you know what I graduated from College and I owe it to him and his logical reasoning he was a good man my hero my wind beneath my wings......I dropped some classes and I did less projects on the outside it took me an extra year to graduate and I even took night classes because I was working full time after my step-father got sick but in the end I got my degree and I cried when i did :))))
